AllAboutAlpha’s mandate is to focus not on what absolute return strategies are, but how they can be used in a portfolio. In other words, our goal is to provide a buyer’s perspective on alpha-centric strategies, not simly a sales opportunity for fund companies. As a result, the editors have deliberately avoided including content on the hedge fund industry per se such as traditional hedge fund conferences.
However, the editors feel that there is one event on the hedge fund calendar that truly takes a buyer’s perspective: The Global Absolute Return Congress (“Global ARC”). Alpha Male, head of the esteemed AllAboutAlpha Editorial Board, attends this event regularly and has advocated its inclusion as an “alpha event”.
Excerpts from programme:
” – Creating a portable alpha infrastructure that that is so robust that it allows institutional investors to completely customize their portable alpha portfolio.
“- Taking a portable alpha program from concept to implementation How to anticipate and overcome the implementation challenges of portable alpha. Why selecting an appropriate beta, with appropriate volatility levels, is critical to the success of your portable alpha program. What are the differences between hedge fund beta and traditional fixed income and equity betas?”
