Northwater Introduces New Portable Alpha Platform

Northwater Capital Management has launched what it calls a comprehensive investment policy implementation system for portable alpha.

Northwater says that in addition to negotiating, drafting, and executing all agreements, monitoring portfolio exposures, managing settlements and liquidity, and providing mandate reporting and performance attribution, the Portfolio Platformâ„¢ service provides:

  1. The ability to port alpha across an entire portfolio in a cost-effective manner – with complete flexibility in choosing one or multiple alpha sources
  2. Implementation of investor-defined market (or beta) exposures through futures and swaps
  3. Liability-driven investment solutions, with a portfolio structure that’s customized to meet specific client objectives.
